if im not mistaken the rover 200 1.8 vi is the basically the same as a zr 160?well i went to my local breakers yard and found a set of discs pads carriers and calipers on a rover 200 vi so thought these should fit.picked them up for £50 the lot and its basically brand new apart from the rust lol.so me and a mate fitted the right hand side to my car.had to change between bolts for the zr and the rover brakes to make it fit.all fitted fine so bled them then tested them and they are no good.has anyone else used these brakes.if so what have i done wrong??

The Vi are the same as the 120, the 160 has bigger discs, and they are only fitted to the 160 and the ZS180.

In what way are they no good, even with the increased power you have Luke you shouldn't have too many issues.

The calipers may be more worn that the ZR ones, the caliper is virtually identical. Did you get new pads and discs, or are you using the ones that came with the calipers.

everything was basically brand new.the discs had no lips on them.the pads were brand new on em the calipers were good aswell.i must have done something wrong.used a easy bleed kit which goes to a tyre and is air tight.at 1st i thought the calipers were indentical.there not much different at all.

The calipers are virtually identical, just have a slightly bigger cutout for the thicker discs.

If the pedal is hardish when pressed they should be fine, might be a crap set of pads, or some grease on the pad or disc face.
