2005 MG ZR 2.0TD FAULTS

Hey very first post on here! sorry if im in wrong place or whatever, just looking for help with a problem!

1) The blower in my 2005 MG ZR 2.0TD only workes when its on the highest speed, if its set to 1 or 2 or 3 it dont do anything, or its silent and doesn't seem to do anything! HELP!

2) The Engine light with the Exclamation mark inside it has just come on in the car, the car drives fine, im hoping its just in need of a service? HELP

3) Tune-age! being the turbo diesel its a very nippy car, but after 3,000 revs the acceleration drops. seems as if the turbo kicks in to get the car going then stops.. is there anyway i can make the turbo kick in from 3 onwards??

As i have said im new to this website and MG ZR's themselves, Very nice looking cars, awesume to drive, please help!

With regards to you heater blower its the resistor coil thats gone.
As for the turbo mine pulls smooth right round to 4000 rpm it boosts from just under 2000rpm(mine has been remapped). It could be a fault with your MAF (mass airflow meter one way to sort this is to buy a mafam which sorts out a tired maf you can get these on ebay.I mention the maf as it may be linked with the eml light coming on.Your best bet would be getting it put on a diagnostics machine to get any faults read.Hope this helps mate by the way welcome to the forum mate.

i got a diagnostics kit off ebay plugged it in and said everything was ok so i presume it just needs servicing! is there any was i can get a new MAF, instead of fitting another piece of kit.. i've also noticed it that it drinks alot of fuel.. any ideas to what this could be??

Getting black smoke from the exhaust as well? If so that points to an air issue.

I would start with a full service mate including the diesel filter.Mine easily gets over 400 miles on short trips and on a run between 450 and 500 on a tank of diesel.
