Northern Xmas Meet ***Flying Legends*** York @ 11:30 Sunday 29th November

Northern Meet

Alright after the small turnout for Ferrybridge meet I'm giving more notice this time. Lets have a big Christmas meet with everyone from right across the North and further afield if you want. This could be a really good meet if everyone makes the effort.

Time / Date: 11:30am, Sunday 29th November
(The time is provisional and will change if enough people agree)

Usual thing, loads of names will go down and nobody will turn up. The Yorkshire meets are getting to be something of a joke tbh. They used to average 20+ cars, now you're lucky if you can get more than 5!

The last flying legends meet was a total waste, 6 cars and 3 of them weren't even ZRs!! Some of us don't even own ZRs anymore and yet we still want to be involved and turn up yet the majority will only turn up to shows if at all. If its not on their doorstep or a slim chance of a magazine photographer taking pics, they're not interested and its pathetic.

I totally agree mate but if we don't try then we definitely wont get any. I see why your fed up with it but I'm still fairly new so not got sickened off yet.

Can I put you down on the list?

Come on everyone lets get behind this. If you can make it to the shows you can make it to a meet. Get your names down.

TBH mate, I've been here long enough and I'm getting really fed up with the local meets, I do my bit as a member and still MG enthusiast and turn and be sociable, I've been to more MG meets this year than Subaru meets and yet the majority of people, these regular members who always manage to go to shows, can't be bothered to turn up unless they can get pissed up. Its to the point where I can't see the point in showing up to the meets anymore.

I tend to agree with Rich but Xmas York meets have been epic in the past, so maybe this could be the same? Perhaps we should try and get the old school members to turn out too and see some of the old faces too?

Either way I would be up for a meet around the date mentioned assuming it goes ahead!

Crispy/Bullitt,

Apologies i couldnt be at the ferrybridge meet, i didnt realise at the time that i had double booked. i was planning on coming abit later on but by the time id finished what i had planned i thought out of the 4/5 cars that attended you wouldve all gone home by 10.30/11.00pm

i am looking to get to more local meets as i quite enjoy seeing other peoples examples of ZR and i think its great to get to know new people who share a same interest. so im starting the list........

1. Crispy12
2. Sh4unZR
