Why are eurocarparts a bunch of @~&*$?

I bought a new battery from them at beginning of November 2012 and not had any problems until 2 weeks ago.

The battery was fine and then we had the cold weather, but the car still started although it took a few attempts more than usual.
However 2 days ago i went out (car had been used day before) and battery was totally dead, not even a flicker of light on the dash or anything.
I took the battery out and into house and put it on charge and after 10 hours no difference it was still dead.
Nothing was left on in the car so no reason for it to go flat except the cold weather.

I contacted eurocar parts and they deny its their problem saying there is nothing they could do and suggested I buy another new battery, this is despite having a 3 year standard warrenty that came with the battery.
I told them the battery is advertised as 3 years warrenty but they deny this and told me they are not responsible for it and if i attempt to return it to their shop then i will be charged for any maintenance/admin or disposal.

I have phoned them and they refuse to let me speak to a manager and just seem to go round in circles getting nowhere.

Anyone got any suggestions?

It was this battery I bought.

Threaten them with trading standards and quote the Sales of Goods act to them: anything which is sold has to be fit for purpose, satisfactory quality and as described. As the battery has failed within 6 months of purchase it is the sellers legal responsibility to sort it out, not the manufacturer.

More details can be found here, including model letters:

Go in to the store, cause a fuss. If that doesn't work, write to/phone head office and say how awful you have been treated by the staff, remind them that customer service should be their number 1 priority.

Don't quote them the trading standards act in less you know how to use it properly, trust me it doesn't frighten shops when a customer says

"ill go to trading standards"

Mate I work For Eurocar Parts. Call Head Office 020 8956 5050 (Wembley), and ask for customer Service And Explain To Them And How You Find The Shop's Customer Service Rude And Disrespectful. Make Sure To Say Which Branch.

They Should Sort It Out And Arrange For A Warranty Swap To Be Made At The Branch With The Sale's Manager If Not The Branch Manager.
