(MOVED) Blue Flame exhausts = no more

Searched but no results.

Brother ordered a exhaust for his elise a couple weeks ago, through another company rather than blueflame themselves.

He phoned up yesterday to check things to be told that the company has gone bust! I believe they have been bought over (or just another company has taken over) So if you got an exhaust from them recently I believe you wont have a warranty

Their website is down too http://www.blueflameperformance.com/

Shame really but at least they are being taken over so shouldn't be the end.

Anyone else got any info about it?

Any chance this could be moved back? I'd say its more news than actual exhaust talk. And to make sure anyone who has anything on order knows whats going on if it goes tits up!

I imagine it was just a lack of buisiness

I love my Blueflame exhaust, but I can't say this has totally surprised me. Their dealers/fitters are/were utter pants, with very little specialist knowledge of the product. After I had problems with mine leaking I took it to Blueflame themselves who fitted it again with their sealant seal and said if it went again it would be the engine moving in the car, owing to dodgy engine mounts ("which is common on these [ZR] cars, because the engine is too powerful for the car") not the exhaust. Week or two later it went again - a local garage sorted it out, for the price of fitting a simple gasket. Engine mounts rock solid. No more problems. Shame as the exhausts are great

Nope it was moved to the correct section as it is about a product business...

I can delete it properly if the move isnt satisfactory???

Mine was second hand anyway. Look at the positive side though, it means they'll get scarce

It was already moved someone moved it to exhausts and such, where as this is more appropriate. No need for deletion my friend.

How loud are they? Thinking of replacing the exhaust on mine (standard 1.4, 100~ horses of powahhh) But don't want a daftly loud beancan.

My brothers one for his elise is a decat, should be quite fruity
