[nunorsilva] - Rover 200SDi, from Portugal

Hi all.

Going to start here my car's project.

I've bought it new in 1999 and it has more or less 209000km. I've made many many changes/updates and I would be here for a week to specify every single modification.

I'm just posting some exterior and interior pictures, and start to update from now :)

My aim is to have a low profile sporty exterior and a classic and comfortable interior.

I'll make a brief resume of the mod's I've made and that I remember now:

-TU1 Box;
-K&N Filter;
-AA bar;
-Rover Vi front and rear sway bars;
-Powerflex bushes (missing only two);
-MAD lowering springs;
-Xénon 6500k with front light washers;
-VEI digital boost gauge;
-MGZR160 front and rear brake system;
-MGZR160 seats, with new real leather;
-MGZR160 door cards, also with real leather;
-"Feet lights" and door lights;
-Rover 25 speedo with the correct mileage;
-Wooden steering wheel with remote OEM ICE;
-Armrest;
-I've got the car "silenced" :D (used mostly SecondSkin over the expensive Dynamate). The results are simply astonishing! I've measured it and I've been able to reduce for about 10dB the car's "rolling" noise.

Well, I can't remember more now but I will keep updating this thread :)

Now for the photos, still without the Addendums. I hope I'll get them in time for place them over the weekend:

Tidy that!

Are there many Rover/MGs in Portugal?

ThumpJunkie 03-02-2011 13:51

That's beautiful mate, especially for the mileage! Excellent work.

Thank you! Yes, there are quite a few. The main problem is getting some specific spare parts. We have a nice and very "populated" forum here: http://www.clube-mgrover.com/
Many users (myself included) use eBay.co.uk and RimmerBros to get spare parts that MG Portugal does not have.

There are a few thousands users, and a few hundred post regularly :)

Tried to register on that Portugeuse owners club but I keep getting this message when I agree to the terms to sign up, it won't let me do anything else :(

That's odd...

I'll contact an admin to see if there's any issue with foreign registrations.

Yeap, agree completely!

BTW, can you please tell me where should I post a thread with this subject: "Need Rover 45 broken speedo"

Is it on the Wanted Parts?

Thanks!

ThumpJunkie 03-02-2011 14:45

Wanted parts should be fine :)
