Remote Fob crap!!

Just wondering if anyone can help, since ive had the car the remote fob has been crap. I can stand right next to the car and be pressing the button and it still doesnt open the car, then other times it opens it straight away. Ive changed the batteries and that hasnt changed anything. Is there anything i can do to make it any better or do i have to put up with it?

this was actually a safety feature for the car, so you didnt unlock it from a distance in your pocket lol. mgr fail. point it at the front windows and it should unlock first time. as for making it better, put the fob on a temple and then click it! otherwise, without an aftermarket alarm system, your going to have to put up with it im afraid.
