MG ZR MK I 105 idling rough and not accelerating unless flooring it

My MG ZR has had this problem where if I ride it hard for some minutes, it idles rough and only accelerates if the throttle is at about 60% pressed. As in, if I press it about 10% of the way, nothing, 20,30,40,50% nothing, about 60% in, it accelerates as you'd expect. If I drive around slowly for a while it returns to normal. I also found oil on a spark plug, but after changing them, it has the same problem.

Mechanics already cleaned some sensor's contacts, and yesterday they replaced my head gasket, but the problem remains.

Any of you had similar problems? I searched the forums and people usually suggest the Throttle position sensor or the Coolant temp sensor. I don't know how to diagnose those, I started the car without them plugged in:
-When the tps is unplugged, it idles high (1300 rpm).
-When the cts is unplugged it starts really rough , the fan comes on
