Alternator Help

Hi, I'm pretty new to this.

My MG ZR 1.4 2003 recently had issues with the dash lights going faint and the speedo needle jumping. The car them came to a halt.

I was told by the recovery guy that its the alternator. I have purchased a new one ready to fit. I did notice that the connectors on the new one look different. Is this to do with the voltage regulator or have I purchased the wrong one?
It's an RTX one from Eurocarparts.

Any help would be appreciated.

Original fit for the Rover 25 from model year 2000 on and all models of MG ZR was an 85 Amp Bosch alternator. You will need to cross reference the part number to check that the unit you have been supplied with is the direct equivalent of MG Rover/XPart part number YLE102430.
