MG-ZR problems galore :'(

I recently started driving my mothers car and theres alot of nigley problems that i want to get fixed for her.

I want to fix the problems below for her but i have never been a handy man :P a screw driver is about the only tool i own. My uncle usually fixes problems for her but hes really busy with his own stuff atm.

Can you advise me roughly how much each individual problem will cost and where the best place to take the car for the job is, i ask because i have rarely had to repair anything on my own car so have rarely used them.

Newcastle/Gateshead area

1. Car only blows hot air "think dial may be broke"
2. Glove compartment screw has come out and needs repaired best place for the job?
2. Front passenger wheel area makes a very wierd "crrrrgh" noise when just under full lock to the "left" only when a specific angle is maintained
3. Car started to smell foisty "damp?" and condensation on windows?
4. Drivers seat underneath on the front a plastic clip has come off where rubber is about 30cm is this an easy fix?
5. Drivers seat has alot of resistance when moving forward/back as if its tight/rubberbanded
6. Slow puncture on passengers rear tyre

1) likely the knob is broken, pull old one off and replace with new one, cost a coupke of quid for knob an you fit it fir nowt

2) Get a matching screw and fit yourself, just pop it in and tighten, should get it done for pennies or nowt

3) could be crap in between discs and pads but could be loose wheel arch liner, look in behind wheel to check plastic is securley fastened before goin further into what it could be

4) As said check spare wheel well, if dry feel carpets see if they are wet

5) is rubber bit still attached to seat cover?? if so it hooks onto metal strip on seat if i am thinking of the right bit

6) May need lubed, look under seat at runners incase anything is stuck in them

7)Local tyre fitters may manage a puncture repair which is 10-20

1. Its winter, fix it once it gets warm again
2. Get a new screw (u have a screwdriver)
3. cv joint?!
4. Water is gettin in somewhere, its a rover so its prob gettin in a few places tho, best bet is to have a good look at all the door seals, the spare wheel well and the boot hinges.
5. again, a common problem
6. wd40 the **** out of it
7. get the puncture repaired at a local tyre place (not kwik fit, they will prob think u need a new battery or summat)

4. i would drill an hole through the plastic bit while having clip back in place and holding it against the the metal on the seat base and tie wrap it back to the seat bit if you know what i mean.
i did this on my seats and ive drilled three holes and tie wraped it in place never had any probs since
