2004 mgzr front sidelight missing
Hi all,
My latest ZR has had some funny electrical things done to it that ive just noticed and need a little help in working out where its all gone ![]() It looks like the bcu relay has failed and the horn has been changed to work off a switch to work from the dashboard. Under the passenger wing i can see the switch cables going to the horn and its all soldered together nicely. There is a bare ended black wire loose under the wing from the loom, no spade end on it. The passenger side light bulb and carrier are missing. I just have the black wire that should (i guess) connect to the sidelight and then earth on the back of the lights, but it appears to be live because if i touch it to earth it blows the sidelight fuse in the car. V weird. Has anyone got a coloured wiring diagram / pic of the wiring on the left front sidelight! This is the right side .. all good. left side light_zpsbjncxno0.jpg Photo by ziggy_65 | Photobucket This is the left side.... I joined the "broken" black wires together as i thought they had just got snipped by someone ham fisted with the dust cap... but on closer inspection there is no side light there! and the sidelight fuse blows unless i cut the black wires i joined. right side light_zps4goew25o.jpg Photo by ziggy_65 | Photobucket Thanks in advance Martin |
