NEW 6 pot BRAKES -

Had a chance to fit my new brakes this weekend...

the old rover coupe brakes were shot and i decided to buy a rather nice brake kit which was direct fit for my car. These were 6 pot tarox brakes and 310mm 2pc discs. The previous owner of the brakes had spent allot of money on them and even had the calipers polished which i think looks awesome.

anyway here's how i got on

here's pics of old brakes: (CLICK ON EACH TO ENLARGE)

as you can see there is hell of a difference in size. here's the fitting process:

Now they are all fitted and bled its just a case of bedding the pads in for a few miles.. the pads will need warming up as there race pads.

anyway here's a before and after shot to compare the brakes:

Before: After:

well happy with the end result and after a trip up he road to test them i'm now 'ALLOT' more confident with the car. in all very pleased with the brakes, very good upgrade.

Yes the calipers need adapters to fit, but these were vehicle specific and all original tarox kit. All stamped t189 which is specific for a rover 220 hub.

Wheels are 17" - 8.5" fronts (that's why I needed 25mm spacers)
9.5" rears

Custom arches all round tho to get the wheels to fit.
