1 of a possible 3 things here.....

1. Clutch cable is Knackered

2. Clutch Plates are "Sticking" together

3. Selector Drum is full of SH1TE

You gotta remember the RS 50 has a WET CLUTCH...So in "Cheapest order"..
do this .....

1. Change the Clutch cable...

2. Flush the gearbox .. (Throw in Half a can of Wynnes Flushin oil) WITH the
old oil & rag it up the road thru ALL gears .. tek it home Drain it & re fill
with new oil

TECH BIT here ....the selector drum because of centrifugal spin becomes "Magnatized" & attracts all the ****e from yer oil (The fine metal shavings off yer gear cogs & sprockets ect) its THIS that causes the "Inhability" to get the higher gears ... (The RSV Millie has the same clutch arrangement, 10K miles MAX before you gotta flush & cleran out the gearbox)

3. if doing ALL the above don't help you GOTTA swop out the Clutch plates

Keith

relatively straight forward one here... have you checked the adjustment on the shifter/lever arm? I know it sounds odd but I've had several work loose on the spline which leads to the the lever not moving properly and thus appearing jammed or not selecting. Just to clarify, i'm taling about the the splined linkage.

Hope you get it sorted!
