Hi, I do all my servicing and repairs myself, being the only wage earner and having a family on low income. i have no choice. It would be great if someone could give me some info on the tool you plug into your car that gives you readouts of any faults. I think its software to add to your laptop and a lead for your car to laptop. Any info would be very welcome. Thanks

pretty much only need it when EML is on dashboard
sometimes the ECU can store old codes and this should be picked up when you scan the car
