Pirelli Pro Rally MG ZR Video I'm working on...

Afternoon all,

Just thought I would share a little video I am working on for a client. For those of you that don't know me my main job 9-5 is a video editor for an online TV channel but I do the occasional bit of work on the side (music vids, weddings etc)

The video is a demo video for the Pirelli Pro Drive MG ZR Rally Experience ride (you know the experience day vouchers you get in Boots etc?)

This is just the exterior shots so far so the client could see what I have so far - just a few shots cobbled together really.

I also have footage from inside the car that I will be adding (interior cameras) and I will be getting more shots of the following to cut in with the video:

*Lit up drivers footwell to show pedals/braking/accelerating etc
*More interior POV shots
*Rollcage mount

I also have shots of the camera suction mounted to the side of the car/roof etc that I plan on using too, just need to digitize these shots.

The graphics at the start I need to run past Pirelli first to make sure I haven't abused their logo too much

I strongly suggest you click on the bottom right of the vid to 'Watch in high quality'

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nbSxf...e=channel_page

Like I said its in its very early stages but it will be a lot bigger and better soon, consider this the 'beta' if you like

For anyone interested in the experience I can strongly recommend it. I have also had the pleasure of driving both cars in the video as well as being a passenger and I'm hankering for some lessons.....

Oh, the driver/owner of the cars is Rally Matt over on xpowerforums.

Let me know what you think (so far) and any questions on the car etc fire away

Cheers,
Matt

not too keen on the sound track, but the vid shots you have are spot on, try adding more of the engine noise like when Matt takes off from the start...watch a few rally vids from BBC2 and check out some of their camera angles they use ...Over all i like it and cant wait to see the finished work 8/10 and thats Beta lool

True, there are worse jobs around lol

I'll post up the finished vid and maybe even post it up in stages. Each time I change it I will re-upload it to youtube and update the thread if anyone is interested?

The soundtrack has to be copyright free for obvious reasons. I have a few picked from the CD's we have at work but its staying as that one for now. No commercial music I'm afraid, I'm not getting sued by the likes of Sony/BMG thanks

I have been watching a bit of Rallying on Dave but when it one man and a camera, time soon flies! There are lots of other angles and shots from a different location that I filmed at, I just haven't used them yet. They will be added at the next stage with the 'bullet cam' shots

yea know what ur saying mate i didnt think about copyrighting etc and being a 1 man camera man , i can fully understand that it'll take time to do different camera angles, cos the car can only go round a number ammount of times b4 money starts comming in to it
