router advice

hey i got a wii for my bday but am really struggling to get it connected to the internet, i have a belkin54g router which going by other forums seems like its prob not compatable.
wat routers do you lot use and what sort of money am i looking at paying for it?

Mate, I have my old Netgear one you can have for 13.50 posted if you want, comes with all cables. Works perfectly with the Wii, I only stopped using it as we got a new one when we switched to Sky broadband.

I use a 108g (I think that's right?) Netgear one for both my xbox and my Wii.
Wasn't too cheap, about 70 iirc, but then again it's about 4 years old so They've prob come down by now.

I'd be inclined to take Stuey up on his offer though.

thanks mate, i have pm'ed him just to check it works ok with laptops etc and for his paypal, sounds ideal for me tbh, just waiting to hear back from him

as long as you connect any kind of router to a device wether its PS3, XBOX, WII, PC through an ethernet cable it should automatically pick it up. however if you have to select if throu the wireless options their is all kinds of problems you could pick up.
Port settings and firewall settings are the most common restrictions when using wireless set up. easy to get around it if you know how.
