im in desperate need of new tyres for my 17" straights and i dunno wot ones to get so a thot id ask u guys wot u think r the best ones to buy. the tyre size is 205/45/17. money is not an issue cause my company is buyin them so basically i want the best.

Yokohamas are my 1st choice, probably the A539 version for british roads.

Goodyear F1 and the michelin pilot sports are also very good.

You don't need to get 205/45, you could get 205/40 or even 215/40

Toyo's are ok until really pushed when they go like grease. Had a set on my track day wheels, but never again.

Not the best in the wet either.

For the Road nothing matches Toyo's, but i have heard they over heat on trackdays. However 99.99999% of the time your on the road, so.............

Ive replaced my falcons (very poor but only a cheap fix anyway) with continental sport contact 2 which i think are the best tyres ive had on any car so far.

spot on there imo, if you have the money cant go wrong with conti's but can be very pricey!
