Is it possible (i.e without swapping rear brakes and the master cylinder etc to suit) to swap the 2.0 Rover 400/115 ZR TD etc front vented discs and wider calipers onto my lowly 101TD. And is it worth it? Noticed the calipers etc are freely available and new discs etc quite reasonable. Don't need ZR160 stopping power, just more than the junk I have at the mo.

I think all you need is the vented discs and the matching calipers.....(got a wider gap between the pads) carnt see it being a problem..

No problem changing to vented discs, they are the same size as yours just vented. You will need the calipers and carriers from the above vehicles, and get new discs.

It has been done many a time.

As Steve says, not a biggie at all.

You can use second hand clipers and carriers, but would recommend new disks and pads.

If you are not totally confident in changing them, then seek help as these are brakes afterall. Ensuring they are bled properly is the only tricky bit.
