how much does it cost to get the timing belt done? As im looking at buying a 2001 160 with 60000 on the clock that hasnt had the belt changed yet?

the auxilary belts on the mg tho can last for 60k not a problem, timing belts should be changed at least every 40k
I thought the service interval was 60K for timing belts on the K. and just because it hasn't been done yet doesn't mean it hasn't been looked after. The rest of the car will tell you that.

Make sure you change the tensioner pulley when you change the main timing belt

It is 60k, or 5 years which ever comes first.

The car is 7 years old....

So if the timing belts have not been renewed (Backed up with receipts) Then the car has not benn looked after imo :)
