When I get out of my car I get a quick whiff of the engine, only on the drivers side though. More so when it's done some hard work. I can't explain the smell, but has anyone ever noticed one?

on my old car (not a ZR) one of the coolent pipes wasnt fastened properly, and leaked a bit of coolent on to the engine and as the engine for warm it smelt

i think i know what you mean, its kind of a hot smell hard to explaine but i know what you mean it makes me worry that i better not give it some

nope i think if its the same as mine its the engine getting hotter due to hard driving

engines don't smell when the get hotter lol. Only perhaps if there is sealing putty that is still setting... Clutch or brake smell, or oil?? Maybe burning off your block

could it be various lubricating/grease on the door hinges?has the car recently been serviced?

my car has been serviced two months ago

look if they have sprayed a grease or somthing on the door hinge & locking mechanism.its a long shot i know but some can smell funky.

If the clutch is going, would it smell?

if its slipping it would. if you are at high revs and changing gears quickly or accelorating hard etc.. it wil smell. doesnt mean its going, but maybe mean you need to ride it less
