TBH the AA would be my top too.

Called them out so many times ith my other Motors, and they were really good. Even at 2:00 in the morning, when your drive shaft of your clapped out escort pops out of the gearbox!

The AA are ace. In a previous life i drove a fiat cincquento and kept having problems with the ingition barrel. Once i was visiting a mate in Edinburgh and it happened, so with an AA van sitting infront of me a traffic warden insists on giving me a ticket. the patrolman told me not to worry and the AA would deal with it. A week later ticket disapeered and an apology from Edinburgh City council!

AA or RAC for me, with the AA at the moment cos it was the best deal this time (renewed MG Rover one £130 for two years) but I normally just get whichever one of em's doing the best offer at the time... I'm so tight!

The AA are excellent at road side assistance. They came out and picked my car up out of the one way system into uni before and dropped it off at one of their garages. Thats where, for me, the AA's excellence finishes. Cause they managed to destroy one of my ABS sensors, then tell me they couldn't get the CV out of the hub. I went mad at them because they were just putting weight on it, 12 tons of it to try and move it. but i had to tell them they wouldn't budge it that way, they'd have to use shock methods to move it out as it'll be ceased in due to way they're manufactured. They went on about how it had overheated etc etc. which was bollox.

Oh yeh, they also tried to charge me £800 for doing pretty much FA apart from destroying my transmission. i will NEVER take my car to an AA garage again. Especially the Stafford branch. They're cowboys.

I'm now with the RAC.

I have been with the AA for years. Called on them 5 time. Twice for my old Mini when it wouldnt select gears, once when it started to leak fuel all over the place and twice when my old 416 broke down, they took me home and then took me to the dealers the next day. Each time they have been faultless. Stick with them, they give you free Home Start if you stay with them for a while.
