I have my MOT at 4pm today.

Im so worried about alot of things- i have had to paint one of the rear bulbs red this morning lol

The other rear light is being ghay atm cant decide if it wants to work or not

My brakes are shaky (but Monk had the same prob and garage said they were ok)

Got a few noises here and there that i dunno what they are :shutup:

Any hints on what to do quickly to check anything?
(I have done as much as i can to the lights)
And anything other than gettin naked at the mot center hahaha!!

My car failed the MOT on one thing last month, the rar center seat belt didnt work so I had to put a ba$tard lap belt in.... was told that because it was made as a 5 seater it has to safely seat 5 people... do all your belts work?

just the usual checks....

lights, tires, oil levels etc....

if you can afford it and itsd cheap get a service done at the same time

get the to do a pre-check before the actual MOT, these are usually free

Why do you need to paint your bulb red? Is the lens not red, I've never seen a red brake bulb before.

dont worry about that for MOT. As long as its not enough to disrupt the machine, it will pass. but when you get it back, sort it out. poss warped disks.

I had to paint it cos somehow the lens has melted a bit and you could see white light through it - it was just light not brake light

yeah check the belts when i bought my rover 200 i never had anyone sat in the back before the mot and i didnt even have a belt in the back = FAIL

can fail you if it never had belts in the back

I have 3 belts and as far as i know they work.
Bit late now for things like that tho only got half hour b4 to check things over lol

oo the spare wheel aswell, make sure its in good nick, if its not just take it out...u can fail a mot on having a crappy tyre, but cant fail if you dont have one at all

How bout if they cant get to the spare wheel anyway coz subs etc in the way?

cant fail spare wheel is bald.

As its not part of the test.

Don't forget to fill up your washer bottle and clean your wiper blades. If they don't squirt or the wipers smear then thats an easy fail.

If it hasn't been serviced for ages then you could change the air filter, that can help against emission failures.

Make sure there is the right pressure in your tyres, that helps them grip the rollers when they do the brake test.


Good luck, and keep your clothes on. If you get em off they will probably fail you so you will go back again for another showing.....:mbounce:
