Hi, I have an MGZR 2004 auto.
Yesterday the auto gearbox warning light came on when I was driving. I didn't notice any drop in performance but I was close to home and didn't push it.

Can anyone tell me the range of problems this light may be indicating?

This may sound a daft question but is there anything I can do before I get the car to a garage? I have a busy week and not sure my garage will be able to fit me in this week.

If the computer detects any abnormal readings from the sensors, a code will be stored and the automatic transmission indicator light will turn on to alert the driver of possible issues. check underneath the car for any kind of leaking, then contact ur mechanic or u can lose ur gearbox
