Actually, the government is only committed to fleecing motorists because they are an easy and captive target.
If the accident rates dropped to zero, they would still keep increasing the fines and penalties - it's got F.A. to with road safety and everything about filling the treasury coffers.
We are just a money cow that they keep milking...........Bastards.
They can't catch many burglars/rapists/muggers/vandals so they nail us, to make it look as though they are keeping law and order under control.
As said before, the radar/laser detectors/jammers will just become more covert again - just like they were a few years ago when they were illegal.
