Two years ago my brother had an accident, a car (A) infront of him (uninsured / no licence) crashed into the car front for him (B)...my brother, seeing that car A had started moving began moving as well...he then bumped into the back of A as A bumped in B.

The driver of A got out and ran off...was never found.

The driver of B has been claiming whiplash off my brother (even tho he was not responsible for initial impact)...2 years later nothing has come of it.

NOW the insurance company has called my brother, followed by a direct call from B, to inform my bro that he (B) will visiting my bro tomorrow (sunday) personally to discuss the claim.

What The Hell???

Unfortunately you have upto 3 years to make a claim. Was the police involved at the time and/or is the person at the front of accident aware of the the [email protected] who run off?? It could be that he just trying anything to get money out of somebody as britian is turning into a suing nation.

If the police were involved there will be a file on the accident. The guy should really be looking to claim from one of those companies that specialises in that sort of claim involving stolen/uninsured cars etc.

Afriend of mine and his wife were knocked off his bike by pikies in a stolen cavalier, he made a claim with one of the afore mentioned companies and he got a pay out.

My advice would be to refuse to see him without knowing why he wants to see him. This is the purpose of insurance. If they won't pay up there's a very good reason why not. And he'd have to bring a civil case against you which will cost him loads.

DON'T DO IT - OR DO IT BUT SAY YOU WILL BRING LEGAL REPRESENTATION WITH YOU AND WILL BE RECORDING THE WHOLE THING ON A VIDEO CAMERA.

as i have said before i think there is some kind of government organisation that helps victims of these kinds of crashes, so if some uninsured drug taking pikey chav smashes into you or the same happens like it did with your brother then rather than claiming off your own insurance you can claim from this organization. the police should make people aware of this everytime something like this happens.

Its good to be a Burton....
