Right people, three weeks to go, so here are the plans...
Scottish Car Show 2011
Sunday July 17th @ Ingliston Show Ground
Meeting Arrangements
Meeting point: HSS Hire car park, Chariot Drive, EH28 8PJ (next to McDonald's @ Newbridge roundabout / Cliftonhall Road)
Map: http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=CHARIOT+DRIVE+NEWBRIDGE&hl=en&z=15
Meeting time: No later than 7:20am
We will be departing at 7:25am, so if you're not there to collect your pass and wristband, TOUGH because we WILL be leaving without you.
Traffic-dependent, we will be convoying into the grounds together, so try to keep up; if you do get separated from the group, just follow the rest of the modified cars into the showground which is literally less than a mile away from the meeting point.
Barbecue Arrangements
Everyone who expects to eat with us on the day (as to prevent having to give money to those robbing food stalls) will be expected to contribute towards our barbecue, which has becoming a thing of legend. We need to have a good supply of food and drink on the day so that nobody goes without either, and of course cooking utensils to cook stuff with. Would also be ideal if someone could bring along any coolbags they have, as if the weather is like what it has been the past five years, drink and food won't stay cold long!
Bare in mind we will need barbecueable food, cold food such as crisps, sweets, rolls, ketchup/sauces, cheese slices etc., water, soft drinks, a tin opener, disposable plates, cutlery, serviettes, baby wipes, etc., etc., etc.. Also bare in mind that you can never have too much of one thing (although we try our best every year!
), so just because one person is bringing sausages doesn't mean you can't too
(I know there's a joke in there about Lisa enjoying the odd sausage or two, but I'll refrain from making it.)
If you lot fancy breakfast, bacon and extra rolls is a good shout, too
Also, foldable chairs and a gazebo never go wrong! :happy2:
Please put down next to your name what you plan to bring:
