Have you checked fuses?

When one side of my sidelights stopped working this was the case

Might not be the problem because i dont have a clue either lol but its just similar to what went work with mine.

In the drivers footwell on the back of the fuse box cover is a diagram of what all the fuses are for. Find the one for the fullbeam lights, pull it out and see if its burnt out.

It is to do with the earth to the sidelight iirc, take the cap off that you use to access the main beam bulb and make sure the sidelight is connected properly and works correctly.

I had this about 7 years ago, so if it sounds a bit vague.

Let me know if this helps, if it doesn't I'll have another look tomorrow when I have a car in front of me

I have a similar problem although it's with my reverse lights. I have changed the bulbs and still no good. I notice from the earlier post that the same fuse relates to both the stop lights and reverse lights. my stop lights are working fine so i guess I have a different problem, any ideas?

Possible gearbox switch or a break in the loom.
