Does anyone know of or have any experience in connecting your ECU into an incar PC, to view stuff that the ECU spits out ?

i found some software on the net at work, ill post the link tommorrow, but surely it shouldnt cause any probs if its just reading it ?

what do you want to see from it? you'll have exactly what it'll show infront of you anyway :-k Revs, speed and temperature. Probably your idle status as well.

As a newbie to the forum i thoiught i'd tell you about this piece of kit

It is US based software and works fine with any OBD2 compliant car. It is also used on a pocket palm so you can plug into the OBD2 socket and read the sensor values whilst driving

It also reads and clears fault codes so all in all not a bad bit of kit

Yeah, you can do this easily.

I have all the links at home in my favourites. Ill dig them out and post them

Basically, it is a case of getting a cable, plugging into the ECU port then to your PC.

Thats it!
