Hi, my ZR that i collected on Friday came with a cd changer in the boot.
(this is all standard from the garage, car only has 5k on the clock)

The cd changer is Kenwood - KDC 469
its on a metal harness thing under one of the plastic bits that support the parcel shelve in the boot. Its not attacheted the carpet on floor.
The headunit is again a Kenwood and the disc changer works with it but i dont like it :( not as good as me sony that i had in the escort that i now want to put in this car. Sony CDX - M800

I went to halfords with both radios and explained, asked if there was some sort of adapator, he said no, not that he knew of.
So now my options are to either buy a new sony cd changer for the boot, and hope it comes with the harness or the current harness fits (do they come with harnesses?) or buy a new kenwood headunit coz this one isnt that good really, cant change the sound options like bass or treb. Or hav more sound coming from the rear etc :\/

Just wondering if anyone reading this knows of anything i can do? :D
Much appreciated and thanks.

cd-changers only work with their make of headunits as far as I'm aware.

therefore either sell the kenwood cd-changer and buy a sony one, or sell the kenwood headunit and buy a better one.

if you go for sony, they do an mp3 xplod 6 disk cd changer which you can pick up quite cheap now, I had one and sold it for about £150-£200 - can now get one for about £100 probably.

Ahh thanks
Did it come with the harness?

coz mine is already fastended in the harness/bracket thing and the kenwood one i hav is alot thinner than the sony ones i see in pictures. so i dont think its gonna fit :\/
