Right people, after a bit of investigation I may be able to get various trims and parts etc made up in Carbon fibre. I am just wondering how interested people are about it, I mean seriously interested not saying they want them then never buy anything.

I ask because I'll be personally funding the project at first and need to know if people really would like them doing.

Like I said this is purely a project I'm thinking of starting, providing materials and application can be done properly.

Now one thing that people must realise is Carbon Fibre weaved materials are expensive and moulding it can be quite difficult, obviously I will try to get the prices as low as absolute possible but some parts will be still alot of money.

Some of the parts we are hoping to try:

Door handles,
dash trims (not likely but we will try),
Exterior bump strips,
Wing Mirror caps,
Tailgate handle,
Smooth front grille,
Battery covers,
Engine top covers,
Exhaust heat shield,
fuse box lid/cover

and finally, if the project is popular, eventually Carbon Fibre Bonnets.

We are hoping that we will be able to extend the production to other vehicles as well. Let me know what you think.

Price details are irrelevant at the moment.

Like I said we have to physically make some of the above parts first to see how they fit and how they look.

Don't forget, those interested that these won't be sold for £20 for a carbon smooth grille etc. Its the materials that are expensive no matter where you get it from, most companies will charge you for master mouldings and for one offs its expensive way to go.

I should've said originally the door handles are the interior ones, sorry. lol

I thought of the exterior ones but the overall mechanicals of the handle would make them very very difficult to make. We'll see what we can do.

Rich have you got any plans for making some stuff up for the MK 2 mate? If so I might be interested in a few bits and pieces. I think Bri is a big fan of carbon fibre, I think he is after some stuff. Think he is going for a black and yellow effect on his car, funny that, it will make him look like a bumble-bee. Who wants to look like a bumble-bee in the first place? LOL

There are no other companies that make carbon bonnets for the 25/ZR. I know because I originally tried to get them made about 18months ago but hardly anyone was seriously interested. I know how much Carbon Bonnets cost to make, not just what the company charges but the actual set up costs as well. Someone has to pay that at some point, don't forget its my own money thats going into this project.

I agree lynz to be honest, there's a fair few who are like that here. However good on rich for making the effort.
