I love the claimed top speed of 155.
Ok...yeah..in an Evo it probably was 155 but seriously, does anyone actually believe that an actual top speed of 155 is possible in that car, with those aero dynamics and that bodykit / weight?

Come on.

is it not restricted to 155 on the evo? Hence why it's achievable on this one too

I've had an Evo7 and that had no limiter on it, and i can tell you you need to be going down hill to get 155 out of them. Also had a look at the piccys and cant see the brembos through the wheels, even looks like drums on the rear to me. Also the evo has quite a large cooler in the front, now i know the pics arn't that clear but i thought that i would have been able to see something through the front grills???

While the engine may be able to achieve that...trust me when I told you that THAT engine in THAT car with THAT body kit and THAT extra weight is NOT aerodynamically capable of allowing the engine to realise the figure of 155mph or indeed the engines full potential.

Yes the engine can do it...but not in that car it cant. Well maybe it can but that bodykit will not be on the car when it does!

= same aerodynamics as

will stay together just like a

in

:. mynheer ZR will not reach 155mph.

AIR RESISTANCE and build quality people, not a chance

But anyway, get the 2.5ltr evo lump in your zed, it will not fall apart or anything near as bad as the mynheer will.

:D

well apparently its not as money consuming as would of generaly b thought because you dont need to reshape the engine bay much.

Martin Hadland ovER AT Reyland is just in finishing stages of Audi Quattro engine mating to PG1 gearbox in his ZR.
I can't wait to see it go, as it should be a very useable package.

Also he has looked at putting a Cosworth engine in along with 4WD running gear and that is certainly possible, but of course, lot of modification for running gear.

How about twin engine ;) thinking VTEC's here ;) yum yum
That would be very original

I've seen a cosworth ZR before, although it was effectively an escort with the zr shell so not really a ZR. As has been said before almost anything is possible limited by the skill of the engineer and the depth of the financers pocket.

that mynheer ZR sold on ebay pretty cheap i believe, i seem to remember it only reaching between 5-6k, thats not much considering all the work thats gone into it. would be interesting if the previous or current owner was able to share their views on the forums :p
