is it worth using a better battery with my ICE? i think my amps in total are only around 1000wrms. i have got hold of an exide deep cycle battery or atleast i think thats what its called. is it really worth using this in place of the standard one?

Tony tbh Stew would be lucy if HE needed a battery of that quality/power in the peril with all his ICE.

Depends on how much current your amps drawif it's arround 60A then the normal battery should be fine.

Best thing for the Peril would be a truck battery, but they dont have the burst capability of the optima batteries, that and they are huge. At least the 225AH (the best optima is 55AH) would keep the peril pumpping. Cant find any pics but it would be 518x276x242mm so it wouldn'y fit in the battery tray in the ZR.

you dont need a second battery unless you got like a van with 10 subs in it.

just get a decent one under the bonnet and dont run the ice for to long with the engine off

How about a power cap!

 

power caps are good for putting and keeping your amp running to its fullest.
had a second battary in my last car with split altinator but dont realy need it if your only running one amp mate. if you want just uprate it to a bigger one.

 

well according to a couple other threads power caps are pretty crap. im running 2 amps btw possible a third soon. i have the new battery anyway and it didnt cost me anything so just going to fit it anyway

one thing to remember before getting an "Audio" battery is, it's best to upgrade the battery cable first! This will help the cars electrical system when your running monster kit.
