Right this is not a zr question but i need help. My mates got a metro and his alternator has gone. Anyone know where i can get a cheep one from?? If you any knows i would be very greatful!

scrappys would be my best bet?

Could ask mustang, he's probably using one to power his pizza slicer or something :lol:

Metro alternators are probably the same as those used on Minis (classsic).

Some places like Unipart will do exchanges on your old unit.

scrap yards don't re-condition alternators, they just sell stuff pulled off cars. Best of british re-condition them as they've got facilities to do it.

Is it the K series or the A series engine? as the alternators are different for both.

Right its ok people its sorted! Got one for £50 + Part exchange for the old one. Not a bad deal if i say so myself seeing as the rover dealer quoted £240 excl VAT!!!!
