Over the next couple of weeks I want to whip my wheels off and give my calipers and drums a lick...

Im gona paint, rather than aerosal...however I still want the best finish.

So what can I use to clean them? (will gunk on a toothbrush do???) then should I wire brush down and give them a wet and dry?

Any bit ive missed out???

Oh yeh, and I was thinking black calipers with silver x-power stickers with the green line through the x, was gona go red, but red on red mite look a little naff, eventhough it looks the dogs on all other colours of cars...

basically mate, all you need is a wire brush, i wouldnt bother with wet and dry, IMO it is unnecessary effort for very little gain

to answer your second question, you can get them from ebay mate, search for "xpower brake decals" iirc they are 9 and you get quite a few.
