Started back in May 2003 by Steve Mckeogh, theMGZR.co.uk grew from a few members to 500 members, then, it kept growing! In January 2004 Steve Mckeogh launched version 4 of the site, now with just over 2,500 members and on average 7 new registrations per day.
Unfortunately Steve Mckeogh lost motivation for the site in August 2004 and decided to hand it over to four of members, Hob, Hoogie, The Hooded Claw and Pimptastic . For a year the four continued to develop the site as well as creating strong site partners, who help maintain the cost of running the site, as well as provided discounts and organize vast outings, of which all our members are greatly thankful for.
In late 2005 Pimptastic left to continue on with personal projects, by which time we had over 3,000 members.
Hoogie was the next to leave due to personal reasons in late 2007. During the end of 2009, Hob, 1 of the final 2 remaining administrators from the original 4, left to pursue a PhD in applied aerodynamics.
Upon leaving Hob left the site with 13,841 members and over 1.5 million posts, a vast increase from when the site first started back in 2003. As of writing the site now boasts over 15,500 members.
Hob left the site (and Ltd company) in the very capable hands of Andylew0, to work along side the one original owner left The Hooded Claw. Shafz was promoted to administrator to work alongside Jonnaz to help with all technical aspects of the site. With fresh site admin and a vast support team of moderators it was a positive start for theMGZR.co.uk
Later into the year 2010, Charlie was taken on to run all financial aspects of the site.
In July 2010, Jonnaz stepped down due to work commitments and to concentrate more on his own business.
December 2010 was a month of many changes; sadly Shafz stepped down due to work commitments and business ventures. Former moderator, Big Slick, replaced him due to his extensive Vbulletin knowledge. However Big Slick later left due to other commitments. The Hooded Claw also stepped due to unforeseen commitments.
With a fresh start to the year in January 2011, Rakester was promoted from moderator to administrator to help with all behind the scenes aspects of the site.
Our objective now is to continue the expansion of theMGZR.co.uk but not to loose the community feel the site offers, of which we have yet to find from any other marquee.
Without the strong support from all our members we would not still be here. Have Fun & we'll see you round the Forums!
So from all the admin team moderators and members theMGZR.co.uk welcomes you to an enjoyable visit.
