After some thoughts please MG6

Hi all I'm looking at getting myself an MG6 GT I went and test drove the 1.8 turbo petrol version today and have to say I'm fairly impressed, pretty nippy motor. I just wondered if any one here had some thoughts on these, anything is helpful, styling, performance, drivability anything really :-) cheers all

I have a customer who is retired & a die hard MG & Rover enthusiast. He is now 77 years of age & in the 9 years I have been valeting his cars he has owned a MGF VVC160 with sports exhaust, 2 Rover 25's (his wife's) A ZR-Express Van 160 & a ZT260-V8. I know prior to that he has has Rover Vitesse's, 623Ti's etc. These he said (though not the Rover versions obviously) are drivers cars not just wobbly boxes that go from A to B.

He now has an MG6 Magnette (saloon) which he bought new & says it is every bit as a drivers car as the others. I can vouch for this as I have driven one too. The main research & development on this car & the new MG3 has been done by the vast majority of the guys that designed the MG Zed Range cars.

Great car, had ours for over a year. Comfortable, great chassis and a kidnap boot. Speed limiter works (autoroute earlier this year). Cross country it seems to cover the daily journey as quickly as either my F or my TF, and frequently I find my self going a bit quicker than planned. So far I haven't had any "moments" in it despite some spirited driving. The handling has to be tried to be believed for a car of it's size. An amazing value for money package, I can see us keeping this for quite a while.
