My Garage
hid xenon kit fitted but what about high beam?

Fitted my 8000K hid xenon conversion kit to day as well as changing side its to leds. look sweet. only problem now is dip beam is a lovely crisp light as well as sides but when use high beam am back to the standard white/yellow colour light. whats the best bulbs to get to match rest?

no one will see your full beam though? you turn them off when you see anyone unless you like blinding people?

I've got some led bulbs coming for the main beam. Cost me a fiver posted. Should do the job nicely

i know id hardly use high beam but would just b nice to get rid of white/yellow light.
leds for high beam? hid for hi beams?

I wouldnt use HID high beam IMO, as when you switch from dip to mains in the dark it won't be instant light on high beam due to the charge time of the xenons.

Just a good ice white H1 bulb should help.

as above hids wont work right, some ice white bulbs would look better, ive gone for leds as i know they will be white, whereas some bulbs can be hit and miss on the colour

I have got HIDs in all mine and don't have a problem with main beam. Once they are 'warm' then they turn on and off instantly. That said I am going to try a set of HOD's as the HIDs are now illegal without self levelling and headlamp wash neither of which I can be bothered to fit.

They're a recently developed bulb, basically something in the middle of Halogen and HIDs. Doesn't require ballasts. Been looking into them myself.
