Basically my bootlock has completely failed and although both doors open (3door) the boot won't open. It's a mk1 160. The button isn't operating it and putting the key in the lock has no effect. Any ideas how I can get into the boot? I can't see anyway of getting to the lock from the inside. Any pointers would be muchly appreciated.
Cheers
Newman
go into the boot take the interior off the boot lid then follow the mechanism from the lock towards the left and youll come across the motor. give the plastic catch a tug ant it should unlock. this has happened to mine. my central locking doesnt engage the motor on the boot lid. guessing the motor or the chip that process the motor has gone if theres such a part HAHA . but i did this and it unlocked it at least
its to the right of the silver looking mechanism. white plastic hook thing. sorry about the lack of details and names of instruments.
