Wrong Exhaust? (after repair)

Hi all,

Just a quick question about the exhaust on a 1.4 Petrol.

I recently had the back box replaced as there were some cracks leaking.

The replacement exhaust curves down to the ground instead of pointing straight out like the old one (the old one I am assuming was factory standard).

They tell me that this new exhaust is correct.

Am I going crazy or have they fit the wrong exhaust??

The downswept tailpipe is standard fit for the diesel engined cars only.

Standard fit for the ZR105 was a straight exit round tailpipe (with a chrome/polished finish on later models)

Sounds as though they have fitted a diesel spec exhaust (which to be fair, will work perfectly fine) - there are a lot oif garages and particularly fast-fit outlet who can't be bothered to source the correct part and fit something that is 'near enough' from stock, and then fob the customer off with some fairytale.

If it were mine, I would take it back a demand they put the right one on.
